Early Head Start Supervisor
Summary: Provides oversight and direction for the Early Head Start program ensuring the requirements outlined in the Performance Standards are met including any and all other regulations. Confers with the Head Start Director to plan and develop a program designed to meet the needs of infants and toddlers and aligns with the preschool program. Visits classrooms to observe effectiveness of program. Evaluates teaching techniques and recommend changes for improvement when applicable. Facilitates workshops and conferences for staff. Responsible for the daily direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Early Head Start management staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, satisfactorily addressing complaints, and resolving problems
Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Experience in management highly desired. Hourly rate of pay based on education. Valid Kentucky driver’s license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory background checks. Pass a preemployment drug test and random drug testing as required.
